Hi, I’m Phil — designer of websites and apps and occasionally some printed things and just about anything else interactive for Modern English Digital , a small and friendly agency in Manchester.

I’ve been lucky enough to put pencil to paper (or pen to wacom) for some pretty awesome clients including Foo Fighters (campaign of the year at Prolific North & Big Chip 17), Ricoh and HSBC. Also, MediaCity and AstraZeneca.

Aside from the client work, I was pretty happy with this and this done just for the sheer fun of it.

Other than design, illustration and various other visual pastimes, my other passion is Honey. Not the sweet stuff you find in a jar , Honey is the affectionate nickname for my guitar (a Fender Telecaster, if you care). Honey is played most often in an instrumental band called The Comics — who aren't particularly funny — and you can find our strange compositions here .
